Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) With a little luck, Brighouse United's Sol Bateman got control of the ball when Ashley Hickson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Lister in the 13th minute of play forced Brighouse United's goalkeeper Sol Bateman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calvin Lister in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sol Bateman saved Brighouse United from getting behind. Sol Bateman made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ashley Hickson sent off a good shot on target. Calvin Lister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sol Bateman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Simeon Blueman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Brighouse United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seb Langford to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calvin Lister in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sol Bateman saved Brighouse United from getting behind. The Cheadle FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Cheadle FC's Ashley Hickson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ashley Hickson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ian Barnfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calvin Lister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Gerry Shipton in the 44th minute really tested Sol Bateman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Ian Barnfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheadle FC's Barrie Cullen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute, Calvin Lister fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sol Bateman, passed just outside the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calvin Lister stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ashley Hickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sol Bateman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Brighouse United's Dale Kennedy got a free kick in the 67th minute. The corner ended in Darius Aldridge almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brighouse United's Sol Bateman did a great save. In the 71st minute, Ashley Hickson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sol Bateman was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Calvin Lister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With splendid footwork Ian Barnfield arrived in front of goal to shoot 4-1 by the left pole in the game's 89th minute. Sol Bateman came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Cheadle FC's Calvin Lister. But to his dismay, Calvin Lister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cheadle FC had played much better football throughout.
