Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lewis Radcliffe started the match with the kick off. Ashley Hickson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 5 played minutes Cheadle FC got a freekick which was hit by Rory Barone. 8 minutes into the match, Stevenage's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Lister came free, but George Kershaw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cheadle FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Darius Aldridge in the 10th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Stevenage's goalie and right to Calvin Lister. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Stevenage's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After having played for 17 minutes, Calvin Lister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheadle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Lister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Stevenage's Eric Nightingale got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Ashley Hickson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of George Kershaw. The goal made the score 1-0. Steven Cotton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calvin Lister in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Kershaw saved Stevenage from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Ashley Hickson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheadle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ashley Hickson got free with George Kershaw in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ashley Hickson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calvin Lister to make the kick off. Calvin Lister hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Stevenage's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Lister came free, but George Kershaw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cheadle FC's Laurence Hawkins got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute, Steven Cotton made a precise shot to the right of Barrie Cullen. Cheadle FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A collision led to Stevenage getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Samuel Lynch hit a great ball. When Ashley Hickson fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cheadle FC's protests and gave Ashley Hickson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Ashley Hickson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Calvin Lister notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Stevenage's George Kershaw. George Kershaw was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ashley Hickson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Ashley Hickson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Kershaw was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Calvin Lister blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Kershaw having to make a save.
