Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brendon Coleman kicked off to start the match. Dean Wroe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon Coleman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, Rich Elding was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Darlington City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Team the free kick. Rich Elding kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Sly Gold kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon Coleman in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Wroe saved Darlington City from getting behind. Louie Hicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Grantham having to interfere. A hard shot 16 in the game by Louie Hicks from a close distance when the talented Lewis Grantham managed to make a qualified save. New Team's players were relieved. Dean Wroe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendon Coleman's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Lewis Grantham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harvey Lewington in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Darlington City's Terry Shipperley got a free kick in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon Coleman in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Wroe saved Darlington City from getting behind. Sly Gold kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, New Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Duke to maneuver through the defense. When Darlington City's Harvey Lewington in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Team's goalie prevented a goal. Brendon Coleman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Harvey Lewington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lewis Grantham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brendon Coleman struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dean Wroe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Team. Jeff Widdrington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Brendon Coleman managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Brendon Coleman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Wroe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Brendon Coleman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dean Wroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Coleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Brendon Coleman managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Brendon Coleman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Wroe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Darlington City's Dean Wroe got control of the ball when Brendon Coleman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harvey Lewington kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Harvey Lewington hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brendon Coleman in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean Wroe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brendon Coleman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Darlington City defense, Brendon Coleman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dean Wroe. The Darlington City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dean Wroe should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Victor Bowen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, Darlington City could leave the field as winners, despite New Team having more of the ball for most of the match.
