Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bryan Carey-Bertram started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Beinn Hilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Waterfoot's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Platt came free, but Curtis Gallacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Porter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, one of Waterfoot:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Waterfoot's zone, Tyrone Beverley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Curtis Gallacher came out of the goal and Tyrone Beverley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes Waterfoot got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Croxford. 20 minutes into the match, Tyrone Beverley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Gallacher. Waterfoot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tyrone Beverley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Ronny Platt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stroud United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Max Corbett scored 1-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimmy Little, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Curtis Gallacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Platt in the 29th minute of play. Ronny Platt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimmy Little made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Corbett in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Stroud United's Neil Holdsworth got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jimmy Little made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Max Corbett sent off a good shot on target. Dominic Croxford struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jimmy Little didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waterfoot. In the 46th minute, Stroud United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Max Corbett fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Stroud United's Chesney Towler got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Benji Rayner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimmy Little showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stroud United's zone, Max Corbett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Little came out of the goal and Max Corbett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Neil Holdsworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Ronny Platt made a precise shot to the right of Curtis Gallacher. Waterfoot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Jimmy Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Corbett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Stroud United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stroud United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
