Spectators: 6807 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 80) Simon Martin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Whitton City's zone, Simon Martin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Graham Morrison came out of the goal and Simon Martin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathon Dunning had several of the Bulphan City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Philip Ruddock as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Butterfield in the 14th minute of play forced Bulphan City's goalkeeper Philip Ruddock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stefan Atherton came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Bulphan City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Atherton couldn't finish the play. CJ Butterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Glen Bell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bulphan City and the Whitton City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Glen Bell hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bulphan City getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Glen Bell hit a great ball. Jonathon Dunning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Philip Ruddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonathon Dunning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Ruddock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathon Dunning went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, CJ Butterfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitton City's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Butterfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Ruddock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell CJ Butterfield to make the kick off. Philip Ruddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Butterfield in the 53rd minute of the match. CJ Butterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Atherton might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Graham Morrison. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Atherton ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 3-0 when CJ Butterfield sped through Bulphan City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Philip Ruddock. Philip Ruddock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from CJ Butterfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefan Atherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Graham Morrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Bulphan City's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Butterfield came free, but Philip Ruddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Best charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Best the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bulphan City booed when Whitton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Best didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefan Atherton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Graham Morrison having to make a save. Graham Morrison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matty Fordham, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. CJ Butterfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Philip Ruddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Stefan Atherton fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Graham Morrison, passed just outside the right post. Bulphan City's Stefan Atherton got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Whitton City had won after a very even match.
