Spectators: 7561 (Terracing: 5672, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simon Martin started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bulphan City's zone, Tyrone Beverley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Ruddock came out of the goal and Tyrone Beverley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Ronny Platt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stroud United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Platt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Ruddock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 10 played minutes Bulphan City got a freekick which was hit by Rio Anson. If Ronny Platt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Matty Fordham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bulphan City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stroud United the free kick. In the 16th minute, Matty Fordham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matty Fordham hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Philip Ruddock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Platt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Platt might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philip Ruddock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronny Platt ran back to his position shaking his head. Philip Ruddock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Beverley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 28th minute of the match Matty Fordham completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Matty Fordham a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Chesney Towler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ronny Platt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philip Ruddock having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ronny Platt managed to get in a good position for a shot. But to his dismay, Ronny Platt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Tyrone Beverley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Ruddock. Bulphan City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tyrone Beverley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Tyrone Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stroud United's Tyrone Beverley got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Bulphan City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stroud United were winning 0-2.

Ronny Platt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Ruddock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyrone Beverley in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Glen Bell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 56thth minute of the game Tyrone Beverley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bulphan City's Philip Ruddock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Philip Ruddock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Beverley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tyrone Beverley in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Ruddock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stefan Atherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jimmy Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone Beverley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 74 played minutes Stroud United got a freekick which was hit by Neil Holdsworth. Stefan Atherton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Martin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tyrone Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Ruddock having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Bulphan City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Martin to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Platts short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Philip Ruddock to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 89 minutes, Tyrone Beverley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stroud United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyrone Beverley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
