Northallerton's Sammy Flack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Ross in the 15th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Northallerton's goalkeeper Sammy Flack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denzil Horner. Northallerton's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ronny Myers 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Ash Bullard kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Joel Holstead cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Wardill to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Northallerton's Richard Deighton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joe Camfield. That made the score 3-2 after 56 minutes of play. If Ronny Myers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronny Myers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Holstead received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joe Camfield came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Holstead slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 77th minute. Joe Camfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Merchant in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes, Ivan Gallagher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FreshFord Fc and the Northallerton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Gallagher hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Zaq Hellen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joe Camfield. FreshFord Fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ronny Myers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sammy Flack having to make a save. Sammy Flack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Myers in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Reg Holmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Zaq Hellen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FreshFord Fc's Joe Camfield didn't even have to move. In the 98th minute, Huey Winter fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Sammy Flack moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. The FreshFord Fc support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
