An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Wardill in the 43rd minute of play forced Thurlaston AFC's goalkeeper Carl Jobling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes, Thurlaston AFC's Danny Blain shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sammy Flack came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thurlaston AFC reached it. If Conan Swallow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Thurlaston AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Aspinall to maneuver through the defense. Mike Wardill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carl Jobling having to make a save. Conan Swallow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristopher Darko in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sammy Flack saved Northallerton from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, Kristopher Darko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sammy Flack, 0-1. A collision led to Northallerton getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mike Wardill hit a great ball. If Conan Swallow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thurlaston AFC's Kristopher Darko got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
