Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sebastien Rotherfield got the match started through his kick off. Felix Bourne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nath Gill, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 7th minute, Wesley Ashton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nath Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nicky Nelthorpe fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sawbridgeworth's protests and gave Nicky Nelthorpe a yellow card for diving instead. Nicky Nelthorpe kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Wesley Ashton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Bourne was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 13th match minute, Sawbridgeworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jools Tyson to maneuver through the defense. Nath Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Bourne having to interfere. Felix Bourne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Ashton, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Grant Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Sebastien Rotherfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Charles Yorke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gareth East fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sawbridgeworth's protests and gave Gareth East a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sawbridgeworth! Grant Robinson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 31st minute, Nath Gill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Bourne was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 38 minutes into the game, Waterloo and South Bank AFC's Wesley Ashton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Bourne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nicholas Falkingham kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Nath Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Wesley Ashton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Bourne was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Nath Gill took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Bourne. Felix Bourne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The wind increased when Wesley Ashton made the kick off in the second half. Nath Gill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Felix Bourne made a huge save. Charles Yorke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olly Barber in the 61st minute of play. Tommy Rice charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Rice the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 68 minutes into the match, Wesley Ashton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felix Bourne, 0-4. In the 71st match minute, Sawbridgeworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jools Tyson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Sawbridgeworth's Felix Bourne got control of the ball when Nath Gill tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Olly Barber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Charles Yorke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 100th minute, Olly Barber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Sawbridgeworth fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Waterloo and South Bank AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
