One of Wareham:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ulverston FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Ulverston FC's Clive Teague got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Louis Eadan.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Will Knight was the one to do the kick off. If Sid Metcalf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wareham's Will Knight got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulverston FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
