Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andy Coulthard made the kick off which started today's match. Stewart Monkhouse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Curtis Hassell made a huge save. The supporters of OJ Rovers booed when Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Church didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andy Coulthard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ozzy Coulson having to interfere. If Emilio Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Laurin was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Oscar Preece hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Emilio Laurin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Hassell. Liverpool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Laurin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Emilio Laurin fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OJ Rovers's protests and gave Emilio Laurin a yellow card for diving instead.
