OJ Rovers's Emilio Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neil Chambers came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ozzy Coulson could save by the left post. When Darren Dewhirst came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the OJ Rovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darren Dewhirst couldn't finish the play. If Emilio Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Mick Crowther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Robert Corby came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the OJ Rovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Corby couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neil Chambers got free with Ozzy Coulson in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Darren Dewhirst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Laurin in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Bond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Lofthouse in the 41st minute of play forced OJ Rovers's goalkeeper Ozzy Coulson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by ⭐️⭐️⭐️FC U.m.b.r.O⭐️⭐️⭐️'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gavin Bass was slow to take the kick. During this time OJ Rovers's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on OJ Rovers's corner Gavin Bass fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eddy Bond quite easily take care of the ball. Ollie Holroyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leo Higgins's late challenge caught a ⭐️⭐️⭐️FC U.m.b.r.O⭐️⭐️⭐️'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Higgins helped the player get up and apologised. Leo Higgins kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to OJ Rovers getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. After 71 played minutes ⭐️⭐️⭐️FC U.m.b.r.O⭐️⭐️⭐️ got a freekick which was hit by Mick Crowther. Ruben Lofthouse took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ozzy Coulson. Ozzy Coulson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of OJ Rovers booed when ⭐️⭐️⭐️FC U.m.b.r.O⭐️⭐️⭐️ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mick Crowther didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Eddy Bond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️FC U.m.b.r.O⭐️⭐️⭐️ had won after a very even match.
