Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Emilio Laurin kicked off to start the match. 8 minutes into the match, OJ Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Ronnie McRobbie came free, but Ozzy Coulson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Harkness showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Laurin in the 11th minute of the match. OJ Rovers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Ashley Dobson scored to the left of an out of position Ozzy Coulson, making the score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Byron Hunt during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, OJ Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Hunt to maneuver through the defense. Stewart Monkhouse's late challenge caught a Hardly Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stewart Monkhouse helped the player get up and apologised. Stewart Monkhouse kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Ronnie McRobbie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ashley Dobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronnie McRobbie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ozzy Coulson having to make a save. In the 40th match minute, OJ Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Hunt to maneuver through the defense. Robert Corby got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Emilio Laurin. Dominic Roy's late challenge caught a OJ Rovers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dominic Roy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hardly Athletic's Dominic Roy got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirk Tomlin made a kick off. Ronnie McRobbie charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronnie McRobbie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of OJ Rovers booed when Hardly Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronnie McRobbie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Laurin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Marc Harkness made a huge save. Justino Maiorga hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Ashley Dobson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hardly Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashley Dobson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Corby kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Kirk Tomlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hardly Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirk Tomlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Pat Sykes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Emilio Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Harkness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to OJ Rovers getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Stewart Monkhouse hit a great ball. Kirk Tomlin took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ozzy Coulson. Ozzy Coulson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. OJ Rovers's Emilio Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hardly Athletic's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
