With a little luck, Tring's Mattias Hayes got control of the ball when Silvester Ford tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Den Bassett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mattias Hayes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ben Hepburn. In the 20th match minute, Tring was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Horn to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Tring's goal looked a bit too open when Den Bassett came free, but Mattias Hayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neil Banks scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Neil Banim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tring's Mattias Hayes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Tring from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Nicholls in the 33rd minute of play forced Tring's goalkeeper Mattias Hayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Newton Aycliffe AFC's Albert Oldroyd made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mattias Hayes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Neil Banks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neil Banim was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Neil Banks scored 1-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Neil Banim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Den Bassett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Neil Banks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Neil Banks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Neil Banim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Newton Aycliffe AFC's Neil Banim got control of the ball when Neil Banks tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 73 played minutes Newton Aycliffe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Oldroyd. Neil Banks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Neil Banim made a huge save. Neil Banim made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Victor Horn sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Tring booed when Newton Aycliffe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Den Bassett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neil Banim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Golding in the 89th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Neil Banks took a quick shot and it went in 3-6 without a chance for Neil Banim to make any attempt to save it. Les Ainsworth hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Neil Banim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Banks in the 96th minute of play. The Newton Aycliffe AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tring were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
