When Kristian Senior fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hiltingbury AFC's protests and gave Kristian Senior a yellow card for diving instead. Frankie Vazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nath Little, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

HULL CITY FC's Frankie Vazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nath Little in the 53rd minute of play. Hiltingbury AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jeff Selby in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Nath Little managed to get in a good position for a shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Antony Bzeu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frankie Vazquez. That made the score 1-2 in the 93 minute of play.
