Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vic Bray made the kick off which started today's match. Kelvin Probert struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Reg Gerrard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandy FC. In the 11th minute, Stevenage FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vic Bray fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 13th minute Vic Bray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reg Gerrard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kelvin Probert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Reg Gerrard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stevenage FC's Reg Gerrard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Stevenage FC from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Rory Monkhouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kelvin Probert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reg Gerrard having to interfere. Kelvin Probert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Reg Gerrard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reg Gerrard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vic Bray's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Kelvin Probert's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Reg Gerrard skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Reg Gerrard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kelvin Probert went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rory Monkhouse made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Sandy FC's Keanu Parkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reg Gerrard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Stevenage FC's zone, Kelvin Probert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reg Gerrard came out of the goal and Kelvin Probert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kelvin Probert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the match, Stevenage FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vic Bray came free, but Reg Gerrard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Kelvin Probert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kelvin Probert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reg Gerrard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Matthew Charles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keanu Parkin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Miles Booth acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nicky Brewer. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kelvin Probert in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reg Gerrard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vic Bray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Kelvin Probert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kelvin Probert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reg Gerrard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kelvin Probert took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reg Gerrard. Reg Gerrard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Vic Bray struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Reg Gerrard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandy FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sandy FC had played much better football throughout.
