Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jo Marlow made the kick off which started today's match. Steven Evans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Alastair Welch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dion Forbes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Alastair Welch skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Louis Lawton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grouchos Grasshoppers's Alastair Welch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dion Forbes got free with Alastair Welch in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Louis Lawton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Grouchos Grasshoppers's goalkeeper Alastair Welch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dion Forbes. Gordon Plant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jo Schofield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jo Marlow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jo Schofield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wally Wilson in the 41st minute of play. Alastair Welch was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Louis Lawton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Louis Lawton really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When Jo Marlow came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Grouchos Grasshoppers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Marlow couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Louis Lawton made a kick off. Alastair Welch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Lawton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dion Forbes scored 4-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alastair Welch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Layfield hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alastair Welch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Lawton, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Gordon Plants short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Jo Schofield to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 65 in the game by Gordon Plant from a close distance when the talented Jo Schofield managed to make a qualified save. Sea Anemone FC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gordon Plant got free with Jo Schofield in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alastair Welch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Lawton in the 76th minute of play. Damon Doona's late challenge caught a Grouchos Grasshoppers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damon Doona helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, one of Sea Anemone FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sea Anemone FC. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Grouchos Grasshoppers's Russell Goacher got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jo Schofield. A collision led to Grouchos Grasshoppers getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Wally Wilson hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Steven Evans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sea Anemone FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steven Evans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Louis Lawton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis Lawton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alastair Welch having to make a save. After recieving a nice pass, Sea Anemone FC's Jeff Hindmarsh tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sea Anemone FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
