Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlton Alsford took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jez Selby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Reddington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Austen Giles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Hay in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute Carlton Alsford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Giles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Les West who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prestwich FC's Jez Selby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jez Selby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Les West in the 14th minute of the match. Pete Reddington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 22 in the game by Carlton Alsford from a close distance when the talented Austen Giles managed to make a qualified save. Lordshill Skates FC's players were relieved. 23 minutes into the match, Carlton Alsford dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Austen Giles, 1-1. In the 29th minute, Carlton Alsford reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Austen Giles. The goal made the score 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Prestwich FC's Carlton Alsford sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Austen Giles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes in the game, Carlton Alsford dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ivan Hay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austen Giles having to interfere. Austen Giles was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Carlton Alsford capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlton Alsford really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 47th minute of the match, Ivan Hay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Austen Giles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Prestwich FC's goal looked a bit too open when Les West came free, but Jez Selby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlton Alsford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes Lordshill Skates FC got a freekick which was hit by Colin Beaver. In the 60th minute, Carlton Alsford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Prestwich FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The audience was convinced that Carlton Alsford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Austen Giles was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 67 minutes in the game, Pete Reddington fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jez Selby having to interfere. Ivan Hay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Austen Giles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlton Alsford in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Austen Giles saved Lordshill Skates FC from getting behind. Ivan Hay struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Austen Giles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prestwich FC. Carlton Alsford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Austen Giles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Carlton Alsford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Giles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Les West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jez Selby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Ivan Hay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Austen Giles. Lordshill Skates FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Hay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Prestwich FC fully deserved thier win.
