Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Les West started the match with the kick off. Wayne Winterbine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pete Reddington in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jake Hitchcock during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC got a freekick which was hit by Jake Hitchcock. When Lordshill Skates FC's Les West in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Toby Dickner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Austen Giles. Austen Giles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Austen Giles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toby Dickner's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Lordshill Skates FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Moxon to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Colin Beaver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Lordshill Skates FC's zone, Toby Dickner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austen Giles came out of the goal and Toby Dickner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toby Dickner in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Austen Giles saved Lordshill Skates FC from getting behind. A collision led to Lordshill Skates FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Colin Beaver hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Niall Colton could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Austen Giles however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Toby Dickner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Austen Giles. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Lordshill Skates FC's Austen Giles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toby Dickner in the 42nd minute of play. If Toby Dickner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Austen Giles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niall Colton in the 55th minute of the match. Les West fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Winterbine having to interfere. Toby Dickner struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Austen Giles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC. If Niall Colton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Niall Colton got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC got a freekick which was hit by Guy Baum. Colin Beaver kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Toby Dickner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Giles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lordshill Skates FC's Austen Giles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niall Colton in the 76th minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Niall Colton made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Austen Giles was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Niall Colton in the 88th minute of play forced Lordshill Skates FC's goalkeeper Austen Giles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
