Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wayne Winterbine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wayne Winterbine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dion Forbes in the 10th minute of play. Guy Baum's late challenge caught a Sea Anemone FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guy Baum helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Guy Baum got a free kick in the 17th minute. Dion Forbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes, Sea Anemone FC's Jeff Hindmarsh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wayne Winterbine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sea Anemone FC reached it. If Niall Colton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toby Dickner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dion Forbes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Winterbine having to interfere. Guy Baum was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th match minute, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Baum to maneuver through the defense. Toby Dickner kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After the first half Sea Anemone FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niall Colton to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Niall Colton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Schofield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wayne Winterbine was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Steven Evans showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Wayne Winterbine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC from getting a goal against them. Dion Forbes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Winterbine having to interfere. Toby Dickner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jo Schofield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niall Colton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jo Schofield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Barrie Auty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sea Anemone FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC the free kick. The supporters of Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC booed when Sea Anemone FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Auty didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dion Forbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Dion Forbes could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Wayne Winterbine however easily saved by the left post.
