Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Allan Stevens started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Rupert Atkins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minehead United's Ivan Longstaff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ivan Longstaff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Atkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 13 minutes, Donny Wardman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minehead United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donny Wardman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pete Holland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Stevens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pete Holland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Stevens in the 21st minute of the match. Pete Holland was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robert Sutcliffe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Glyn Harrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Stevens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pete Holland came out and tried to block the shot, but Allan Stevens slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 30th minute. Glyn Harrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Longstaff having to interfere. Donny Wardman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Pete Holland made a huge save. Minehead United's Allan Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Allan Stevens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pete Holland. The goal made the score 4-0. Allan Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Holland having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rupert Atkins to make the kick off. Pete Holland came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Minehead United's Donny Wardman. But to his dismay, Donny Wardman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 56 minutes into the match, Minehead United's Allan Stevens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pete Holland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Longstaff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Atkins in the 57th minute of the match. Christopher Branston hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Donny Wardman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Stevens in the 75th minute of play forced WE UNITED's goalkeeper Pete Holland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Donny Wardman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, WE UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Stevens came free, but Pete Holland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Minehead United's Donny Wardman made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pete Holland was left in no man's land by his defense there! WE UNITED's Pete Holland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Stevens in the 87th minute of play. The corner ended in Scott Steele almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but WE UNITED's Pete Holland did a great save. In the 94th minute Allan Stevens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Holland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Minehead United had played much better football throughout.
