After having played for 5 minutes, Dion Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHELSEA UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dion Gregory was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodd Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Danny Gardiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ethan Broadbent made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Bart Darko sent off a good shot on target. CHELSEA UNITED's Ethan Broadbent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodd Ashton in the 11th minute of play. Wes Chapman came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by CHELSEA UNITED's Sammy Bowland. But to his dismay, Sammy Bowland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodd Ashton got free with Ethan Broadbent in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Rodd Ashton came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Walthamstow FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodd Ashton couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Darko got free with Ethan Broadbent in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Bowland in the 27th minute of play forced Walthamstow FC's goalkeeper Wes Chapman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rodd Ashton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ethan Broadbent was a little too slow when Ricky Nelson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. After having played for 43 minutes, Ricky Nelson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walthamstow FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricky Nelson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dion Gregory charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dion Gregory the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CHELSEA UNITED's Dion Gregory got a free kick in the 45th minute. Ethan Broadbent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodd Ashton, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Bowland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Walthamstow FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ricky Nelson hit a great ball. Walthamstow FC's Wes Chapman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaz Francis in the 53rd minute of play. Dion Gregory might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wes Chapman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dion Gregory ran back to his position shaking his head. If Rodd Ashton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ethan Broadbent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Darko, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of Walthamstow FC booed when CHELSEA UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huey Fenton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Jack Burns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dion Gregory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wes Chapman having to interfere. Sammy Bowland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Wes Chapman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CHELSEA UNITED getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Damion Sandell hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Ricky Nelson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute Sammy Bowland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wes Chapman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Walthamstow FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Nelson. Rodd Ashton might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ethan Broadbent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodd Ashton ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Darko in the 78th minute of play forced CHELSEA UNITED's goalkeeper Ethan Broadbent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rodd Ashton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ethan Broadbent was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 83 minutes into the match, CHELSEA UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Nelson came free, but Ethan Broadbent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ethan Broadbent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodd Ashton in the 88th minute of the match. Ricky Nelson struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ethan Broadbent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walthamstow FC. Ethan Broadbent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Gardiner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CHELSEA UNITED's Malcolm Gavan got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wes Chapman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Malcolm Gavan went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. CHELSEA UNITED's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
