Quentin Millman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Wes Chapman made a huge save. Bart Darko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Marty Wild tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Walthamstow FC booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Kent didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodd Ashton was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Walthamstow FC's Bart Darko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marty Wild made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Rodd Ashton came free, but Marty Wild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manchester United's Marty Wild played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Nelson in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Bart Darko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Wild saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Rodd Ashton made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, John Paul Yeo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Rodd Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joshua Kent fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United's protests and gave Joshua Kent a yellow card for diving instead. Joshua Kent hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Manchester United's Marty Wild got control of the ball when Bart Darko tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Ricky Nelson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Wild came out of the goal and Ricky Nelson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricky Nelson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 68th playminute. Ricky Nelson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Darko came free, but Marty Wild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodd Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Durrant to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes Walthamstow FC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Gardiner. Rodd Ashton succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. If Ricky Nelson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricky Nelson kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Wes Chapman came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Ronnie Odell. But to his dismay, Ronnie Odell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. When the match was over Walthamstow FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manchester United throughout the match.
