Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Austen Carragher started the match with the kick off. Neil Morse hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. When Eric Clifton fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gerrards Cross's protests and gave Eric Clifton a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Gerrards Cross got a freekick which was hit by Eric Clifton. In the 10th minute, Cliff MacDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Peter Brindley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind India FC's goalkeeper Wesley Brookman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Austen Carragher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gerrards Cross! Peter Brindley hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Gerrards Cross's Alfie Appleton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Gerrards Cross from getting a goal against them. After having played for 40 minutes, Ash Holroyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. India FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ash Holroyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 41st minute of the match Eric Clifton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eric Clifton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Austen Carragher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Appleton having to interfere. Alfie Appleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austen Carragher, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Austen Carragher kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfie Appleton. That made the score 2-0 in the 48 minute of play.

After a rather tough play, Gerrards Cross's Allan Lancaster got a free kick in the 55th minute. Austen Carragher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alfie Appleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Neil Morse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerrards Cross's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Morse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Brookman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conal Styles hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gerrards Cross getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cliff MacDonald hit a great ball. If Ash Holroyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Austen Carragher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Austen Carragher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Appleton having to interfere. If Neil Morse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristian Longthorn's late challenge caught a Gerrards Cross's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Longthorn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, India FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Longthorn to maneuver through the defense. Alfie Appleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austen Carragher in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Austen Carragher made a precise shot to the right of Alfie Appleton. Gerrards Cross's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Alfie Appleton came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by India FC's Austen Carragher. But to his dismay, Austen Carragher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Austen Carragher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerrards Cross's Allan Lancaster got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Allan Lancaster off the ground. Allan Lancaster kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gerrards Cross's zone, Austen Carragher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Appleton came out of the goal and Austen Carragher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 98 played minutes Gerrards Cross got a freekick which was hit by Neil Morse. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. India FC had played much better football throughout.
