Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rhys Deeney kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Helsby's Bruce Paine dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Gez Davis scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kirk Cambridge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th match minute, Helsby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Wootton to maneuver through the defense. Kirk Cambridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Davis in the 19th minute of the match. Gwyn Busby's late challenge caught a Nunthorpe AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gwyn Busby helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Helsby got a freekick which was hit by Gwyn Busby. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruce Paine got free with Kirk Cambridge in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 29 minutes, Keiran Mayall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nunthorpe AFC and the Helsby players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Keiran Mayall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Gez Davis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kirk Cambridge. The goal made the score 3-0. 33 minutes into the match, Nunthorpe AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Davis came free, but Kirk Cambridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Cambridge made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Bruce Paine sent off a good shot on target. Kirk Cambridge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruce Paine in the 41st minute. A collision led to Nunthorpe AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Keiran Mayall hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 52 minutes, Alec Buckler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nunthorpe AFC and the Helsby players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alec Buckler kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Kirk Cambridge came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Helsby's Bruce Paine. But to his dismay, Bruce Paine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Rhys Deeney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Nunthorpe AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Paine came free, but Kirk Cambridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Helsby getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gez Davis hit a great ball. Vinnie Bastow made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nunthorpe AFC's Alec Buckler. Kirk Cambridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gez Davis, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 79 minutes into the match, Nunthorpe AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Davis came free, but Kirk Cambridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwyn Busby kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Helsby walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
