Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jake French started the match with the kick off. If Bob Steele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Gardner made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ross Hart sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 17 minutes, Bob Steele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaftesbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Steele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ross Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jon Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jake Phelps during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Shaftesbury getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jake Phelps hit a great ball. The supporters of Shaftesbury booed when Paignton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clive Braithwaite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, Shaftesbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rory Flower to maneuver through the defense. Jon Gardner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake French in the 30th minute of play. Ross Hart struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jon Gardner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paignton FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Steele in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shawn McGurk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathanial Harrison in the 38th minute of play forced Paignton FC's goalkeeper Shawn McGurk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jake French recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ross Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Jon Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nathanial Harrison to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Paignton FC's Ross Hart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jon Gardner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Shawn McGurk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathanial Harrison in the 62nd minute of the match. Ross Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jon Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bob Steele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Gardner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clive Braithwaite went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Nathanial Harrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Nathanial Harrison kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Shawn McGurk. That made the score 2-2 in the 86 minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Paignton FC's goalkeeper Shawn McGurk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bob Steele. Jon Gardner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ross Hart in the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jake French managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paignton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jake French was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Gardner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jon Gardner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ross Hart in the 98th minute of the match. The Shaftesbury players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Paignton FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
