The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Todd Bradfield showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nigel Ash in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Todd Bradfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 18 minutes, Luke Parry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Upminster City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luke Parry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Upminster City's Rodd Welsh threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luke Parry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luke Parry kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Nigel Ash had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Todd Bradfield. Upminster City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nigel Ash was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eric Beesley was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Upminster City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Luke Parry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rodd Welsh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rupert Dingle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Todd Bradfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kieran Piercy hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. Nigel Ash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Upminster City's goalkeeper Todd Bradfield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rupert Dingle. Philip Crowther fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Welsh having to interfere. Studley AFC's Rodd Welsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luke Parry in the 90th minute of play. If Rupert Dingle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
