Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stephen Holbrook started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Upminster City's Adam Flynn got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Len Bambrook who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Upminster City's Todd Bradfield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stephen Holbrook scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Todd Bradfield, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damion Easton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to FC Kennington getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ronan Elam hit a great ball. Todd Bradfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Len Bambrook in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Kennington's Ronan Elam got a free kick in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Len Bambrook's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Todd Bradfield was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Upminster City's goalkeeper Todd Bradfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adam Flynn hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, FC Kennington's Kenny Barkley broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Todd Bradfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len Bambrook in the 31st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Upminster City's Eric Beesley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Damion Easton. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luke Parry was the one to do the kick off. Luke Parry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damion Easton having to interfere. Stephen Holbrook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Todd Bradfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luke Parry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
