Rodd Welsh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelvin Cutts in the 11th minute of play. When Harry Taggart fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Studley AFC's protests and gave Harry Taggart a yellow card for diving instead. Harry Taggart kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Lightfoot in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodd Welsh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vince Armstrong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodd Welsh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Kelvin Cutts made a precise shot to the right of Rodd Welsh. Studley AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rupert Dingle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glenn Pilkington having to interfere. After 35 played minutes, Studley AFC's Byron Armstrong shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Glenn Pilkington came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Studley AFC reached it. After 36 played minutes Whiteley got a freekick which was hit by Richard Parkinson. After 39 played minutes Studley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Harry Taggart. Kelvin Cutts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Welsh having to interfere. Vince Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodd Welsh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kelvin Cutts's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nigel Ash stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Studley AFC's protests and gave Sammy Harban a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Studley AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Whiteley:s goal. When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Whiteley's Calvin Gettins got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rodd Welsh. Rodd Welsh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vince Armstrong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 played minutes Whiteley got a freekick which was hit by Connor Grainger.
