An unexpectedly hard shot by Conal Gibbons in the 14th minute of play forced Pirroni-cum-Moze City's goalkeeper Stephen Devine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathon Eglington hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Stephen Devine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conal Gibbons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Pirroni-cum-Moze City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Caine to maneuver through the defense. Kasey Nicholls didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shawn Bettney went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Shawn Bettney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kasey Nicholls read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Dominic Henman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnathon Eglington took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kasey Nicholls. Pondersbridge FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Neil Devaney sped through Pondersbridge FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kasey Nicholls. When Richard Caine fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pirroni-cum-Moze City's protests and gave Richard Caine a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Caine hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When Conal Gibbons came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Pondersbridge FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conal Gibbons couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basil Crosby during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Pirroni-cum-Moze City got a freekick which was hit by Basil Crosby. Pondersbridge FC's Kasey Nicholls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shawn Bettney in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Reg Crane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Devine having to interfere. Kasey Nicholls was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Neil Devaney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 83 minute of play. Shawn Bettney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Kasey Nicholls made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shawn Bettney got free with Kasey Nicholls in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neil Devaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kasey Nicholls tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Pirroni-cum-Moze City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pondersbridge FC throughout the match.
