A very good chance for a goal. 0-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Crispin Dawes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, ZEIG AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Crispin Dawes came free, but Luke Faith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Glenn Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Faith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes, Peter Jenkins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZEIG AFC and the Cinderford Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fitz Hallam's late challenge caught a ZEIG AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fitz Hallam helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Cinderford Town got a freekick which was hit by Fitz Hallam. After having played for 30 minutes, Crispin Dawes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cinderford Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Crispin Dawes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Glenn Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot. After taking down the ball on Cinderford Town's corner Howard Bevan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luke Faith quite easily take care of the ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Glenn Ferdinand who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZEIG AFC's Luke Faith was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Crispin Dawes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Faith read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 88 minutes ZEIG AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Howard Bevan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Cinderford Town's Howard Bevan to fire away a dangerous shot which Luke Faith despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luke Faith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Crispin Dawes got free with Luke Faith in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
