Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fraser Atherton made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Grant Akins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GBNK's Neil Rooney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basil Wedlock came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by GBNK's Jeffrey Steed. But to his dismay, Jeffrey Steed quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Leo Pope kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Grant Akins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Rooney having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Brazil's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffrey Steed came free, but Basil Wedlock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neil Rooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Akins in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Brazil defense, Bobby Welsh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basil Wedlock. The Brazil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basil Wedlock should have stopped the shot. Shaun Gill's late challenge caught a Brazil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shaun Gill helped the player get up and apologised. Shaun Gill kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Tyler Maclean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, Fraser Atherton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basil Wedlock. Fraser Atherton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind GBNK's goalkeeper Neil Rooney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Weedon in the 42nd minute of play forced GBNK's goalkeeper Neil Rooney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Brazil's Basil Wedlock got control of the ball when Jeffrey Steed tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Archie Weedon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brazil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GBNK the free kick. Archie Weedon kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Neil Rooney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Akins in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grant Akins to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Shaun Gill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the game, GBNK's Jeffrey Steed nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basil Wedlock made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Leo Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Brazil's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffrey Steed came free, but Basil Wedlock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fraser Atherton in the 69th minute of play forced Brazil's goalkeeper Basil Wedlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Akins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Neil Rooney when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Brazil's Grant Akins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. In the 79th minute Jeffrey Steed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil Wedlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of GBNK booed when Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martyn Atkinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to GBNK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Shaun Gill hit a great ball. Grant Akins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Pope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Rooney having to interfere. Shaun Gill hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
