Brendon Maylett received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Peter Hampton came out and tried to block the shot, but Brendon Maylett slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Lance Armitage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Peter Hampton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niall Swallow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Walworth Runners got a freekick which was hit by Harry Marenghi. Walworth Runners's Peter Hampton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Walworth Runners from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Winter in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Hampton saved Walworth Runners from getting behind. Peter Hampton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Winter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Winter in the 28th minute of play forced Walworth Runners's goalkeeper Peter Hampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Armitage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lance Armitage in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Hampton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Walworth Runners's zone, Frank Winter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Hampton came out of the goal and Frank Winter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Walworth Runners's goalkeeper Peter Hampton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niall Swallow. Steve Hitchen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Peter Hampton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niall Swallow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Al Caine was the one to do the kick off. Bradley Anson made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when David Milner sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niall Swallow during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reggie Riley charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reggie Riley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Niall Swallow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Hampton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Niall Swallow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Peter Hampton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Lance Armitage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea100's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lance Armitage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lance Armitage in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Hampton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chelsea100's Niall Swallow got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niall Swallow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niall Swallow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Hampton having to interfere. Niall Swallow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Peter Hampton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Marenghi kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Harry Marenghi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Walworth Runners's goalkeeper Peter Hampton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve Hitchen in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Hampton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Frank Winter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea100's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Winter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Hampton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Walworth Runners defense, Steve Hitchen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Hampton. The Walworth Runners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Hampton should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Chelsea100's Lance Armitage sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Hampton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 97 played minutes Walworth Runners got a freekick which was hit by Harry Marenghi. Chelsea100's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
