Aaron Dowdall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sol Boxall in the 14th minute of the match. Aaron Dowdall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Theakston in the 14th minute of play. Aaron Dowdall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sol Boxall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phil Tynan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Howard Osbourn's late challenge caught a Crystal Palace's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Howard Osbourn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Slough F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Howard Osbourn to maneuver through the defense. If Nigel Beadel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes of play, Crystal Palace's Nigel Beadel made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phil Tynan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 39 minutes, Billie Denham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crystal Palace's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billie Denham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billie Denham made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Tristan Theakston's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Dowdall was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billie Denham couldn't finish the play. When Simon McRobbie fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crystal Palace's protests and gave Simon McRobbie a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Crystal Palace getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Simon McRobbie hit a great ball. Sol Boxall came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aaron Dowdall could save by the left post. In the 63rd minute Frazer Purvis suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Nigel Beadel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Beadel in the 84th minute of play forced Slough F C's goalkeeper Phil Tynan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sol Boxall took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron Dowdall. Aaron Dowdall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Crystal Palace fans cheered their team off the field, for while Slough F C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
