Chip Byfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Theakston in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Pete Monk could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Phil Tynan however easily saved by the left post. In the 14th minute, Howard Osbourn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Romeo Weir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jack Hay came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Barnoldswick FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Hay couldn't finish the play. If Tristan Theakston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Sol Boxall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slough F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Sol Boxall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chip Byfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Slough F C getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Frazer Purvis hit a great ball. Pete Monk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Phil Tynan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Tristan Theakston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jack Hay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Tynan having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Slough F C's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Hay came free, but Phil Tynan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sol Boxall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jack Hay was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sol Boxall got free with Chip Byfield in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frazer Purvis kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Slough F C getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tristan Theakston hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Slough F C's zone, Pete Monk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phil Tynan came out of the goal and Pete Monk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Slough F C's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Hay came free, but Phil Tynan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sol Boxall struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Chip Byfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slough F C. Pete Monk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Phil Tynan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Slough F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brynn Coates to maneuver through the defense. Barnoldswick FC's Pete Monk got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Barnoldswick FC booed when Slough F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Theakston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Hay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pete Monk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Phil Tynan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sol Boxall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Tristan Theakston reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chip Byfield. The goal made the score 0-1. Sol Boxall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Byfield having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barnoldswick FC's zone, Tristan Theakston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Slough F C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
