After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ash Wing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wirral Rubbish's supporters rose to their feet, but Ash Wing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martyn Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ash Barratt scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Deon Way, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Norby's Don Platt got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes Wirral Rubbish got a freekick which was hit by Albert Cryer. 12 minutes into the match, Wirral Rubbish's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley Hollingsworth came free, but Deon Way reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Wirral Rubbish defense, Ash Barratt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deon Way. The Wirral Rubbish fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deon Way should have stopped the shot. In the 19thth minute of the game Ash Barratt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wirral Rubbish's Deon Way was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bradley Hollingsworth in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deon Way prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norby's Martyn Gough proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Norby from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Marty Hartley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marty Hartley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Gough having to interfere. Franz Parrott's late challenge caught a Wirral Rubbish's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz Parrott helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, Wirral Rubbish's Louie Bartlett got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Martyn Gough. Deon Way took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley Hollingsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Ash Barratt made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Bradley Hollingsworth could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Deon Way however easily saved by the left post. 53 minutes into the game, Sacha Wild was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wirral Rubbish's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norby the free kick. After 53 played minutes Wirral Rubbish got a freekick which was hit by Sacha Wild. Marty Hartley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wirral Rubbish's Jason Sercombe was substituted for Sacha Wild. Deon Way showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Barratt in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Jason Sercombe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wirral Rubbish's Deon Way played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ash Barratt in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Marty Hartley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deon Way made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ash Barratt in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Norby were awarded a corner. Sammy Holdroyd went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Sammy Holdroyd almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wirral Rubbish's Deon Way did a great save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Wirral Rubbish lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
