After 12 played minutes Funky Town got a freekick which was hit by Simeon Maloney. The referee ignored Funky Town's protests and gave Lenny Haxby a yellow card for diving instead. Seth Kemp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nath Walmsley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Wayne Bale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seth Kemp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Bale having to interfere. Seth Kemp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Seth Kemp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jasper Hampshire to strike the kick off in the second half. Seth Kemp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nath Walmsley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wayne Bale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Nath Walmsley struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Wayne Bale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bombardier F.C. Funky Town's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
