After a rather tough play, Netherton Colts's Joseph Hepburn got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Mick Lomas had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 6 minutes into the game, Ollie Soussan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherton Colts's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashford Fc the free kick. Ashford Fc made a substitution. Wayne Haugue replaced Mick Lomas. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Netherton Colts:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ashford Fc:s goal. Brad Huxtable went to the wrong direction when Stu Hough was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Netherton Colts's goal looked a bit too open when Stu Hough came free, but Brad Huxtable reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brad Huxtable showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wayne Haugue, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Stu Hough notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Netherton Colts's Brad Huxtable. Brad Huxtable was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the game, Thomas Stockley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 18th minute, Thomas Stockley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brad Huxtable showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Craig Knight in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute Joseph Hepburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Wiseman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Wayne Haugue left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ashford Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Brad Huxtable took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Warburton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ollie Soussan was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Ashford Fc booed when Netherton Colts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Soussan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute Joseph Hepburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Wiseman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherton Colts's Brad Huxtable played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Haugue in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Netherton Colts's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Warburton came free, but Brad Huxtable reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joseph Hepburn made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wayne Haugue got free with Brad Huxtable in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 53 minutes into the match, Netherton Colts's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Bayliff came free, but Brad Huxtable reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brad Huxtable made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Wayne Haugue sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute Stu Hough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Huxtable saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brad Huxtable made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Bryan Warburton sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, Netherton Colts's goalkeeper Brad Huxtable had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bryan Warburton. 68 minutes into the match, Netherton Colts's goal looked a bit too open when Stu Hough came free, but Brad Huxtable reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brad Huxtable made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Wayne Haugue sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Stu Hough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Huxtable saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Haugue in the 87th minute of play forced Netherton Colts's goalkeeper Brad Huxtable to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brad Huxtable showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stu Hough in the 89th minute of the match.
