An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Beaumont in the 24th minute of play forced Flash of the Blade's goalkeeper Gerry Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Franz Lightfoot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lance Beardsley fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kemsing's protests and gave Lance Beardsley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Lance Beardsley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bart Houghton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Bowland, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kemsing's zone, Oscar Bowland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Houghton came out of the goal and Oscar Bowland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Kemsing's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Gilchrist came free, but Bart Houghton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bart Houghton made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Oscar Bowland sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Bowland struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Bart Houghton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flash of the Blade. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Bowland in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bart Houghton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Bowland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Bart Houghton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 45 minutes of play Kemsing's Clive Jones was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Kemsing getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Clive Jones hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Damion Towler scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bart Houghton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kemsing's Bart Houghton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damion Towler in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bart Houghton saved Kemsing from getting behind. In the 79thth minute of the game Damion Towler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kemsing's Bart Houghton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerry Jones was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Des Potter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 85 minute of play. Franz Lightfoot charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franz Lightfoot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kemsing getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Franz Lightfoot hit a great ball. Des Potter kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Kemsing's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
