After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Casey Gilchrist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flash of the Blade's supporters rose to their feet, but Casey Gilchrist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Bowland in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alf Broadhurst saved Bombardier F.C from getting behind. When Thomas Wilkes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bombardier F.C's protests and gave Thomas Wilkes a yellow card for diving instead. When Nial Lister fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seth Kemp to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Bombardier F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Gilchrist came free, but Alf Broadhurst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Flash of the Blade's Tosh Harris got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alf Broadhurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Gilchrist in the 75th minute of the match. A hard shot 79 in the game by Damion Towler from a close distance when the talented Alf Broadhurst managed to make a qualified save. Bombardier F.C's players were relieved. Damion Towler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alf Broadhurst having to make a save. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-7 when Damion Towler sped through Bombardier F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alf Broadhurst.
