After a rather tough play, Oakham United's Josh Ploughman got a free kick in the 7th minute. Carl Church fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Tandy having to interfere. Conal Dobby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Noel Tandy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conal Dobby got free with Noel Tandy in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bart Blowman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dom Lowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bart Blowman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donny Garnett in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Conal Dobby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Tandy. Oakham United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conal Dobby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Bart Blowman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donny Garnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathon Ridsdale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Noel Tandy made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Conal Dobby managed to get in a good position for a shot. West asdickham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Conal Dobby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Tandy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Dom Lowe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oakham United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dom Lowe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Noel Tandy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathon Ridsdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathon Devine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Noel Tandy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Tandy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conal Dobby in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donny Garnett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frank Moorhouse did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Bart Blowman 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Conal Dobby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West asdickham FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Noel Tandy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathon Ridsdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. West asdickham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon Devine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Blacksmith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Noel Tandy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Carl Church shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Tandy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathon Ridsdale in the 96th minute of play forced Oakham United's goalkeeper Noel Tandy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. West asdickham FC had played much better football throughout.
