Spectators: 7350 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jasper Hampshire got the match started through his kick off. Bart Houghton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Hampshire, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jasper Hampshire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Bart Houghton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Beaumont recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franz Lightfoot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Bale having to interfere. Wayne Bale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Beardsley in the 16th minute of play. When Ronny Beaumont came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Kemsing fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Beaumont couldn't finish the play. Ronny Beaumont scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wayne Bale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Ronny Beaumont ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wayne Bale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Wayne Bale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franz Lightfoot's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Lance Beardsley scored 1-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wayne Bale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Kemsing booed when Funky Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simeon Maloney didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Kemsing's Howard Hutchings tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After the first half Kemsing were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franz Lightfoot made a kick off. With a little luck, Funky Town's Wayne Bale got control of the ball when Ronny Beaumont tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Martyn Billing fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Funky Town's protests and gave Martyn Billing a yellow card for diving instead. Ronny Beaumont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Bale having to interfere. In the 71st minute Carlton Byrom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Houghton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Funky Town's Wayne Bale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Lightfoot in the 73rd minute of play. Wayne Bale made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Ronny Beaumont sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 76 minutes, Ronny Beaumont managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kemsing's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Beaumont was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Franz Lightfoot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wayne Bale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Franz Lightfoot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82ndth minute of the game Franz Lightfoot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Funky Town's Wayne Bale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Franz Lightfoot fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ronny Beaumont in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wayne Bale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wayne Bale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronny Beaumont in the 96th minute. When the match was over Kemsing could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Funky Town throughout the match.
