When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Oliver Lovett took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Neil Hargrave to make any attempt to save it. Damien Beaumont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olly Crawshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Pearch hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Loyd Wagstaff charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loyd Wagstaff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sedlescombe getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sedlescombe's Robert Seagrave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Weatherhead in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Lovett in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neil Hargrave saved Arsenal London FC from getting behind. Arsenal London FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Olly Crawshaw scored to the left of an out of position Neil Hargrave, making the score, 2-0. Oliver Lovett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver Lovett to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sedlescombe booed when Arsenal London FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Pearch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Arsenal London FC's protests and gave Malcolm Ellis a yellow card for diving instead. Neil Hargrave showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olly Crawshaw in the 73rd minute of the match. Robert Seagrave dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 91st minute, Dom Dines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sedlescombe's Olly Crawshaw got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenal London FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
