After 19 minutes, Dan Stone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Russian Coonts FC and the Mini Citizens players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dan Stone kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Bill Hardcastle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Green having to interfere. Pete Green showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Hardcastle, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Damian Lowe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pete Green having to make a save. Pete Green didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bill Hardcastle went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Purvis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Greaves having to interfere. After 38th play minutes Laurence McKeown shot 1-1, a short shot which went by James Greaves and just under the crossbar into goal. Laurence McKeown could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but James Greaves made a huge save. Bill Hardcastle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mini Citizens's Laurence McKeown got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 67th minute, Laurence McKeown got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Pedro Purvis fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mini Citizens's protests and gave Pedro Purvis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Pedro Purvis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavin Turner kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 82 minutes of play, Mini Citizens's Laurence McKeown made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. James Greaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute, Laurence McKeown got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th match minute, Mini Citizens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sol Willis to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mini Citizens fans cheered their team off the field, for while Russian Coonts FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
