With an extended leg and a bit of luck Buster Beard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Buster Beard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Arrowsmith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louis Ingram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Leslie having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Todd Reid cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Buster Beard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Buster Beard successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Piwkol FC's zone, Todd Reid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Buster Beard came out of the goal and Todd Reid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Norwich's Bradley Mansell got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Buster Beard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Reid, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Reid in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Buster Beard saved Piwkol FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Todd Reid sped through Piwkol FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Buster Beard. If Todd Reid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Todd Reid might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Buster Beard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Todd Reid ran back to his position shaking his head. Piwkol FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Todd Reid scored to the left of an out of position Buster Beard, making the score, 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antony Arrowsmith got free with Buster Beard in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antony Arrowsmith could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Buster Beard made a huge save. Norwich played a much better game than Piwkol FC and deserved their victory. The Piwkol FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
