Graham Bannister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Hudson having to interfere. If Graham Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chorley Grosvenor's Jamie Hudson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Banim in the 18th minute of play. Graham Bannister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orson Clemence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Christopher Bridgeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stonehouse's Ben Botham got a free kick in the 25th minute. Orson Clemence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Monkhouse's late challenge caught a Stonehouse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Monkhouse helped the player get up and apologised. Kevin Monkhouse kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Stonehouse's Hayden Fitzgerald broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaz Beecham to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Orson Clemence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Bridgeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Bridgeman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaz Beecham's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Orson Clemence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Christopher Bridgeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaz Beecham in the 60th minute of play forced Stonehouse's goalkeeper Christopher Bridgeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Chorley Grosvenor's Stevie Huxtable got a free kick in the 61st minute. Luke Gunn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jamie Hudson made a huge save. Stonehouse's Ted Harland got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Ted Harland off the ground. The supporters of Chorley Grosvenor booed when Stonehouse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Harland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stevie Huxtable hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Graham Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stonehouse's Graham Bannister got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
