Lanston United's Blair Crittenden couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lubenita Godlob. Lubenita Godlob's Damion Paget played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devon Pye-Finch in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Lubenita Godlob getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tod Camfield hit a great ball. Sammy Ratcliffe struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Den Coates didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lubenita Godlob. Benji Warden was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Lubenita Godlob:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lanston United:s goal. In the 27th minute of the match, Ash Jones got a very nice opportunity to score, but Den Coates was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ash Jones managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lubenita Godlob's supporters rose to their feet, but Ash Jones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Den Coates breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lanston United's Den Coates proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Lanston United from getting a goal against them. Devon Pye-Finch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Damion Paget stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kirk Noble's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Fred Graves kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ash Jones made a kick off. When Devon Pye-Finch came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Lanston United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devon Pye-Finch couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Lubenita Godlob was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Ratcliffe to maneuver through the defense. Tod Camfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute Ash Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Den Coates saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Ash Jones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lubenita Godlob's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ash Jones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lubenita Godlob's Ash Jones got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damion Paget made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Devon Pye-Finch sent off a good shot on target. When Kirk Noble fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanston United's protests and gave Kirk Noble a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lanston United's Kirk Noble got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Lubenita Godlob's Leo Wilson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
