Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tenbury Wells's Seb Slator started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes in the game, Seb Slator fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Basil Delamore having to interfere. Francis Pointon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robbie Constantine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Robbie Constantine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Pointon in the 8th minute of play. Josh Fry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Seb Slator managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tenbury Wells's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seb Slator was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Josh Fry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Francis Pointon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Constantine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robbie Constantine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josh Fry in the 23rd minute of the match. When Josh Fry came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Sunderland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josh Fry couldn't finish the play. Josh Fry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Tenbury Wells's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Pointon came free, but Robbie Constantine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bart Darby hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match Stuart Beresford shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robbie Constantine showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Seb Slator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes, Edward Griffin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunderland and the Tenbury Wells players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edward Griffin hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Robbie Constantine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josh Fry in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Josh Fry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josh Fry got free with Robbie Constantine in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josh Fry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Robbie Constantine made a huge save. Jo Metcalfe hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tenbury Wells's Robbie Constantine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Pointon in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Francis Pointon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robbie Constantine, 0-1. Giles Collingwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tenbury Wells's goalkeeper Robbie Constantine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josh Fry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Constantine having to interfere. Francis Pointon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Constantine having to interfere. Sunderland's Francis Pointon got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josh Fry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Robbie Constantine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Francis Pointon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunderland's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Pointon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robbie Constantine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Tenbury Wells's Jo Metcalfe got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Sunderland got a corner. Tenbury Wells's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stuart Beresford ran over to the corner to take the kick. Francis Pointon struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Robbie Constantine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunderland. Sunderland played a much better game than Tenbury Wells and deserved their victory. The Tenbury Wells players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
