After a defensive mix-up in Baltic Pearl FC's zone, Sidney Lawton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Dudgeon came out of the goal and Sidney Lawton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Coventry City F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vic Rundell came free, but Damion Workman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Coventry City F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jay Kirkpatrick came free, but Damion Workman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damion Workman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Rundell, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The Baltic Pearl FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Darius Pollard's shot from long distance in the 53rd minute was not bad at all, but Coventry City F.C.'s Damion Workman knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 56th minute Vic Rundell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damion Workman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jay Kirkpatrick struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Damion Workman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baltic Pearl FC. If Vic Rundell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Coventry City F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Beinn Leadbeater hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Vic Rundell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damion Workman was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Coventry City F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vic Rundell came free, but Damion Workman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Baltic Pearl FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coventry City F.C. throughout the match.
