An unexpectedly hard shot by Rio Sedgemore in the 3rd minute of play forced Crowngate's goalkeeper Johnathon Colt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ashley English hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Rio Sedgemore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Joseph Lindley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crowngate's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Lindley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Reid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Don Topham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ashley English might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johnathon Colt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ashley English ran back to his position shaking his head. After 18 played minutes Crowngate got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Lindley. 18 minutes into the match, Hawbush United's Benji Dickner broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 20 minutes, Ashley English made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Crowngate's Johnathon Colt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Hawbush United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Vinnie Hackney hit a great ball. Felix Reid came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Crowngate's Gavin Milner. But to his dismay, Gavin Milner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Johnathon Colt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Cheeseman in the 37th minute of play. Rio Sedgemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Crowngate's Johnathon Colt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley English in the 43rd minute of play. Hawbush United's supporters rose to their feet, but Rio Sedgemore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathon Colt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rio Sedgemore was the one to do the kick off. After 65 played minutes Crowngate got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Lindley. In the 69th match minute, Crowngate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Lindley to maneuver through the defense. Rio Sedgemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Johnathon Colt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rio Sedgemore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathon Colt having to interfere. Ashley English could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Johnathon Colt made a huge save. The supporters of Hawbush United booed when Crowngate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Sharpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rio Sedgemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ashley English struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Johnathon Colt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawbush United. Felix Reid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavin Milner, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Vinnie Hackney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawbush United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crowngate the free kick. The supporters of Crowngate booed when Hawbush United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinnie Hackney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Don Topham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Reid having to interfere. Rio Sedgemore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Ashley English got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 90th match minute, Crowngate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Lindley to maneuver through the defense. Rio Sedgemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th match minute, Crowngate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Lindley to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, Crowngate's goalkeeper Johnathon Colt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rio Sedgemore. Hawbush United played a much better game than Crowngate and deserved their victory. The Crowngate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
